OLE Health Hires New Chief Medical Officer

OLE Health appoints Dr. Steve Ramirez as CMO; position to lead community health initiatives for OLE in Napa and Solano Counties.

OLE Health is pleased to announced the appointment of Dr. Steve Ramirez as Chief Medical Officer for the organization. Dr. Ramirez joins OLE Health after serving as Chief Medical Officer for Variety Care, Oklahoma’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center based in Oklahoma City, OK.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Ramirez to the OLE Health team” says Tanir Ami, Chief Executive Officer at OLE Health “Dr. Ramirez will lead our clinical teams in the implementation of key strategic health initiatives as well as develop innovative approaches to our health care delivery program. Dr. Ramirez’s expertise in working with communities to tackle key public health issues will serve our patients well as we move forward in reaching our goals for community health in Napa and Solano Counties”

As California continues to see a rise in the prevalence of chronic and acute illnesses related to childhood obesity, diabetes, and issues related to behavioral health, Dr. Ramirez will play a key role in determining the most impactful initiatives that ensure patients and community members have access to effective and cost-efficient treatment for themselves and their families.

While serving as the Chief Medical Officer for Variety Care in Oklahoma, Dr. Ramirez oversaw all medical operations and led the administration of all medical and clinical staff functions including monitoring and managing initiatives to achieve the business and health goals of the organization.

Dr. Ramirez holds a degree in medicine from Texas A&M University and has over 23 years of experience in health care including holding the role of Chief Medical Officer for Brazos Valley Community Action Agency in College Station, TX as well as working as a physician lead at St. Joseph Family Medicine in Navasota, TX
