The LAC provides a centralized location for information on resources and services.  Everyone is eligible for assistance at LAC regardless of income or immigration status.

Available services include:

Food and Rental Assistance, taxes, replacing lost legal documents, driver’s license, mental health services, determining legal rights and applying for disaster relief benefits.

FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency)
The funding will be granted to individuals to help rebuild, repair, and replace housing, and assist with other disaster-related expenses.

How can I get food for my family from CAL Fresh program? 

In order to get Disaster CalFresh people must apply between October 25th and October 31st.

People can apply for Disaster CalFresh online at

http://benefitscal.org, their county office, the local assistance center, or with Disaster CalFresh outreach workers.

What documents should I bring to the Local Assistance Center (LAC)?

If you have, it is recommended that you bring:
– a photo ID,
– household income information
– insurance documents . *DMV is also available to issue duplicates of Photo IDs  and driver license.

Is there assistance if I was unable to work due to the wildfires?

California Employment Development Department (EDD), provides temporary unemployment benefits to people whose jobs or work hours were directly impacted by the fires. Affected individuals are encouraged to apply here https://eapply4ui.edd.ca.gov/  no later than November 16, 2017. Claimants can also file by phone at 1-800-300-5616 (English) or 1-800-326-8937 (Spanish).
