Join the OLE Health Board of Directors!

OLE Health is seeking new members for our Board of Directors. Here’s your chance to play an important role in the direction of our growing organization.

About our Board of Directors

The Board of Directors meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 3:30-5:30pm. Meetings are held at the Napa Valley Vintners Community Health Center, in the Shafer Room located upstairs at 1141 Pear Tree Lane, Napa, CA 94558.

The Board is responsible for making sure the health center provides needed services, obeys all federal, state and local laws, and is financially stable. Specifically, the BOD is responsible for:

  • Making decisions about services provided by the health center and the hours center operates
  • Approving the annual budget and the sliding fee schedule
  • Hiring, evaluating and dismissing the Chief Executive Officer
  • Assisting in the orientation of new board members
  • Participating in strategic planning for the health center
  • Adopting personnel policies, including selection and dismissal procedures, salaries and benefits
  • Resolving patient grievances
  • Keeping confidential all information discussed at board meetings

We ask our Board Members to make at least a one-year commitment, but terms are standardly three years. We ask that you make every attempt to attend all meetings. If necessary, Board Members may join the meeting by conference call instead of in person. Board Members, who are also patients of OLE Health, are not entitled to receive any special treatment from OLE Health providers or staff.  Board members can be removed from the Board for poor attendance or for inappropriate behavior.

Members of the OLE Health Board of Directors play a different role than members of the PAC (Patient Advisory Committee). Board Members are primarily charged with leading organizational development, administrative oversight and policy implementation that aligns with the strategic goals of OLE Health.

All board members are offered a $50 stipend for each meeting they attend. This is to cover any costs associated with attending meetings, such as transportation or child-care.

About OLE Health

We believe today’s healthcare options aren’t giving people what they need. So we do things differently. At OLE Health we practice a new model of high-quality healthcare that helps people get and stay healthy. Each patient works with a dedicated team of medical professionals to get the range of services they need, when and where they need them. We’re committed to this approach because our years of experience have taught us that a strong and healthy community depends on strong and healthy residents. And it takes a team to build this kind of health.

OLE Health has been providing care throughout the Napa Valley for over 43 years and is a trusted and well-known provider to over 34,000 patients. Our commitment to providing care for all those who need it has made OLE Health a leader in community health. We currently operate 7 health centers in Napa and Solano counties and we’re still growing!
