OLE Health to Open Facility in American Canyon

New Site Expands Same-Day Access for Patients

March 7, 2023 – Napa, CA – In its continuing effort to expand access to health care in Napa County, OLE Health announced today that it will open a new facility in American Canyon in Spring 2023. The health center will be available to existing OLE Health patients or those interested in becoming an OLE Health patient who need same or next day appointments for acute health concerns.

“During OLE Health’s 50 year history in Napa, we have slowly and steadily expanded our physical footprint and the services we offer to better support our community,” said Alicia Hardy, OLE Health CEO. “Yet the increase in need for our services has outpaced our own growth, especially when it comes to same-day access. American Canyon will help us better address demand and allow us to focus on preventative, primary care and chronic disease management at our other sites to deliver on our mission to build stronger communities.”

Elizabeth Martorana, PA-C, will serve as Medical Director for the site. She has been with OLE Health for 12 years, providing direct patient care and clinical leadership at the Napa Valley Vintners North Napa Campus. She will be joined by Lulu Garcia, PA, who started at OLE Health in 2011 at Napa Valley Vintners North Napa Campus before transiting to the East Fairfield Health Center to open that site. OLE Health will also offer access to enrollment and behavioral health services to patients in American Canyon.

OLE Health will be taking over the space previously occupied by Carbon Health at 3431 Broadway, Suite A8. The American Canyon Health Center will be distinct from OLE Health six other health centers. As designated patient-centered medical homes, OLE Health’s existing sites focus on preventative, primary care services and management of chronic conditions in close collaboration with a consistent care team for the patient. Though acute care is available, appointments tend to be limited and demand is high.

In contrast, management of chronic conditions or other routine exams and screenings will not be available at American Canyon, and appointments will focus exclusively on diagnosis and treatment of acute healthcare concerns, including exams for aches and pains, rashes, wound care, and viruses. Flu shots and Tetanus vaccines will also be available. Eventually, OLE Health hopes to offer radiology at the American Canyon site. Though the emphasis will be on same or next day access, the facility will not function as a walk-in urgent care or emergency department.

By providing access to more appointments for acute concerns, OLE Health hopes to increase the number of available appointments at its other health centers for regular, preventative primary care appointments and reduce unnecessary emergency room visits for issues that can be managed in a health center setting.

The site will be open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The addition of this facility in American Canyon means OLE Health will have a physical presence in all of the major population centers in Napa County.
