Luana Yu, DMD
About Luana
Dr. Luana Yu started at CommuniCare+OLE in 2024. She received her Doctor in Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2022 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, Dr. Yu pursued an additional year of training at UCSF in its Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. She practices all aspects of general dentistry.
My approach to care
My approach to care is centered around minimally invasive dentistry, focusing on prevention and conserving healthy tooth structure. I enjoy empowering patients with the knowledge needed to be able to take charge of their own oral health.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a dentist to help improve access to dental care and to make a difference in people’s lives.

I am a mother to three—two boys and a small dog! On the weekends, you can often find us exploring various parks around the Bay Area.
