My approach to care

My approach to providing care is to recognize how each patient’s experience affects their health and ability to access health care differently. We are all human and deserve evidence-based medicine tailored to who we are as individuals. By acknowledging how each patient’s experience affects their health and access to care, this is how we as healthcare providers deliver personalized medicine.

Why I went into healthcare

I became a Physician Assistant after completing my Ph.D. because I wanted to keep studying medicine while working with patients more directly. I studied Asthma & Cystic Fibrosis at a lab bench using mice, human lung samples, and stem cell models, but missed working with people. This led me to become a clinician so I could use my scientific research experience to help the person sitting across from me in the exam room.
