$103,278.24 To 140,254.40 Annually

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the administrative aspect of integrated behavioral health staff and program in Napa County, to ensure department goals and objectives are being met.  Work in tandem with IBH Director and IBH managers to ensure Napa County integrated behavioral health at Communicare+OLE is clinically and operationally sound.  Also responsible for providing integrated behavioral health services to patients including psychosocial assessments, interventions, referrals and consultation to providers. This position is 50% administrative and 50% direct service.

 

KNOWLEDGE OF WORK

 

Must have knowledge of the current Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and ability to accurately use this knowledge to diagnose patients and inform treatment planning

 

Knowledge of psychotropic medications and physical health conditions/chronic disease

 

Knowledge of crisis intervention, applicable laws and ethical consideration related to patient rights, treatment, safety and confidentiality

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Personnel Management:  Develop staffing plans, interview, hire, and supervise the orientation and training of licensed Napa County staff and students; plan, assign direct duties and work schedules of Napa County staff/students; provide annual performance evaluations and improvement plans as needed, review and approve timesheets and other managerial duties as required
 In collaboration with IBH managers, lead success and champion philosophy of Integrated Behavioral Health model, which includes a brief solution focused model fully integrated within primary care clinics.
Ensure Napa County staff complete clinical documentation in a timely and thorough manner
Provide staff/student supervision and integrated behavioral health services through a trauma informed/health equity lens.
Represent Communicare+OLE at meetings with community partners
Recruit student interns from University/College Social work and/or Counseling departments
Interface with each student’s practicum instructor to provide clinical and professional feedback and complete any forms specific to each student’s internship
Define, track, and evaluate Napa County staff productivity goals related to efficacy of treatment and quality of care
In collaboration with the Integrated Behavioral Health Director, develop and maintain procedures and protocols according to most current integrated behavioral health guidelines.  Ensure compliance with legal issues, including but not limited to, patient confidentiality and risk management; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Prioritize, schedule and conduct individual, couples, and family therapy for patients referred for integrated behavioral health services.  This position is 50% administrative and 50% direct service.

 

Develop and maintain continuous Quality Improvement processes for clinical and case management functions and services; audit/review assessments, screenings, treatment plans, and progress notes for accuracy and adherence.
Communicate and collaborate with clinic providers, hospital staff and appropriate external providers or agencies to manage patient’s behavioral health issues
Provide crisis intervention and brief warm handoffs as needed
Document appropriate information in the electronic health record system in a timely and thorough manner
Maintain professional license as per California Board of Behavioral Sciences
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

  1. Current California Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Professional Clinical Counselor required.
  2. Two years post master’s degree and supervisor experience required.
  3. Experience working in an integrated behavioral health setting, including brief-solution focused services strongly preferred. Knowledge of integrated behavioral health program models and implementation strongly preferred.
  4. Must have ability to supervise, lead and develop staff.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish) language preferred.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required; ability to handle difficult patient situations.
  7. Computer skills including Microsoft Office required; electronic health record system preferred.
  8. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Must certify and remain current in CPR.
