My approach to care

My approach to care is to meet each patient where they are. In order for someone to trust us and allow themselves to be vulnerable, we must align ourselves with them and come from a place of empathy, compassion, and understanding, regardless of what our own personal bias/feelings might be.

Why I went into healthcare

I became a social worker because I learned from a young age that I have big feelings and those feelings are valid. My profession provides me the skills to remind others that their feeling are valid too, especially in certain cultures, like mine, where mental health is not talked about or acknowledged enough.

Something you might not know about me

Something you might now know about me is that books & coffee are the way to my heart, best self-care!
