Prior to coming to OLE Health, she worked in a wide variety of settings including private practice, Planned Parenthood and at a large community health center in New Haven, Connecticut. Her journey in women’s health started with founding a postpartum care service in San Francisco, teaching childbirth classes and working as a lactation consultant.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a midwife because midwife means “with woman” and this is my passion; supporting and guiding women as they make the amazing (and sometimes challenging) journey from adolescence through menopause. Pregnancy is an especially critical time where so many changes are happening and so much transformation is possible. It is always an honor to be with a family during this time.
Something you might not know about me
I was born on an apple farm in Maine, but have spent much of my adult life in California. My mom was a French teacher, so I love languages. I’m fluent in French and my Spanish gets better every day with so much opportunity to practice. I am married to a documentary filmmaker and have two adult daughters who inspire me every day to continue to work toward making excellent health care accessible to all women.
