ReThink Your Drink

OLE Health had the opportunity to promote health and wellness at our Napa Farmer’s Market this week.  The theme was: ReThink Your Drink!

Take a moment to think about what you drink!  Try to limit soda, juices (of any kind!), energy drinks, sports drinks, sugar-flavored waters and any sugar-sweetened beverages.  All these beverages contain A LOT of sugar and we would need to exercise about 45-60 minutes to burn off a 12oz serving of soda or other sugar-sweetened beverage.  Remember that water and low-fat milk are the best beverages.  You may “ReThink” plain water by adding orange slices, lemon slices, or cucumber slices with a sprig of mint or cilantro. Very refreshing without the added sugar!
